9 1/2 months!

Isaac is 9 1/2 months old! In the past month, he has learned to:
  • crawl without just plain "army crawling"
  • clap his hands
  • eat some simple table foods
  • graduate to 3rd stage baby food
  • sleep for longer at night (goes to bed around 6:30 or 7 and wakes up at 6am)
  • stand for longer periods of time with assistance
  • play for longer periods of time
  • turn pages of board books
  • enjoy a soccer game
  • enjoy a football game
  • pull himself up on his knees on the side of his crib
  • sleep with his little frog in his crib and sometimes use it as a pillow
We're so proud of God's little blessing on our lives! What a special and sweet little boy!

Halloween!

Here's our little monkey! This was Isaac's Halloween costume. We made it to see Ryan's Grandparents and parents. Isaac had fun for the first 3 minutes that his costume was on...then he decided he didn't like it too much.

More SFA Homecoming Weekend

SFA Homecoming Weekend

Here we are at the SFA Homecoming Parade. Isaac didn't get scared at all of loud floats, marching bands, and firetrucks. He really enjoyed watching it all and taking it all in. In case you didn't know, SFA's mascot is the lumberjacks...we are "giving the axe". On the right, Isaac watches the parade intently with Granny.

Isaac explores his surroundings...

Isaac was so interested in the clothes basket that we decided to let him sit in it. He thought it was funny even though it doesn't look like it in THIS picture. Ha!

Give 'em the axe!

Isaac and Daddy sport their SFA hats! Cutie number 1 and Cutie number 2!

Little Man

Look how cute Isaac looks with Daddy! His hair is all combed and he has his little button-up shirt on--headed to church!

Isaac loves his Granny and Pawpaw! In these pictures he is 8 months old. We were at Aunt Stacey's house for Aunt Shelley's 40th Birthday Party. Fun times!

Daddy and Isaac - he LOVES his Daddy! Such a happy little guy...we are so blessed.
Isaac got to stay with Ms. Barbara (Nana) a few weeks back. He loved it and so did she! He especially loves all of Nana's grandchildren! They're all girls!

Isaac is 8 months old! He is really enjoying trying to stand! He can't pull himself up yet, but he is still practicing.

Witty

As I read other blogs, I realize how "unwitty" I am! Does wittiness come in time as I blog more and more? Isaac sure is funny...maybe it will come in time as I get more practice.

Isaac starts daycare...

So last week on Monday (the 17th), Isaac started at his new daycare, the Child Development Center. I have to admit, I'm sad, but I know that it will be great for Isaac's development to be with other children his age on a daily basis. His new teachers are Ms. Gina, Ms. Dinora, and Ms. Jamie. Pictures will soon come!

two new teeth!

Today Isaac cut his top two teeth! He's been a bit fussy today and chewing on things a bit more than usual. Then as Ryan is giving Isaac a bath, he notices that there are two brand new teeth. Yay for Isaac! What a big boy! Solid food--here we come!

sucker!

So Isaac was in the bathtub tonight and was bending way over to reach his little boat toy in the water and discovered that he could reach his toes. He grabs hold, pulls his toes up out of the water, and begins to suck away! MMM! What was so funny was that they had water on them so when he sucked them it made a big slurp noise! Leave it to Isaac! : )

first word...seriously!

Yesterday while at Aunt Stacey's house, Isaac said his first word!! Aunt Shelley had Isaac's little rattle phone and she was talking in it looking at him and playing with him. Ryan was headed to Stacey's house, and so Shelley says into the phone, "Isaac, Hi Daddy?" He looks up at her and says, "Dada!" Then he proceeds to babble--"Dadadada!" Again, Shelley says, "Where's Daddy?" Isaac starts kicking his feet and getting excited and says, "Dada!" So, it's official--Isaac's first word clearly is 'Dada'. I knew it! I knew it would be Dada and not Mama. It's okay. He LOVES his Daddy! : )

tower of babble

Yesterday Isaac started really beginning to string syllables together to begin babbling. His babbles consist of "yea, yea, yea" and "deah, deah, deah". It's so cute! He actually goes up and down in his voice like he's trying so hard to talk to us! He looks so intent too when he's doing it. What a cutie!

Isaac's first VBS!

Isaac, pictured with Ms. Sue, Ms. Clydene, and Ms. Clara, attended his very first VBS at our church this year because I taught 2nd grade this year! He thoroughly enjoyed getting to see his friends Brody, Hope, and Nicholas each day! He even had a little frame for his "craft"! memories...

Reading with Daddy...

Isaac enjoyed listening to Daddy read aloud...he sat and listened to him for about 20 minutes without fussing even though it was not even interested. It was all about watching Daddy and listening to his voice! : ) Precious!

happy or sad?

Aunt Shelley was distracting Isaac...it was time for him to eat, and the bottle was not quite ready. Isaac didn't know whether to laugh, smile, or fuss. It was hysterical!

Take a ride on the wild side...or just the carousel

Isaac got to ride on the carousel at the mall...he wasn't sure what to think about and neither was I! It went a bit faster than I remembered...I decided that it would probably be a while longer before we would ride again. It was fun while it lasted! : )

Me gusta!!!

Isaac's Grandma and Aunt Molly went to Cancun, Mexico in celebration of Molly's graduation...Isaac received a pancho for his souvenir! Doesn't he look so cute??

Family time...

Isaac sure enjoyed being with Aunt Shelley, Aunt Stacey, his cousins Ryan and Lauren!

Isaac's first trip to the pool...

Isaac, dressed in his little speedo, got in the pool last week for the 1st time in his little "boat". He sure loved it! Doused in sunscreen, he smelled like the beach all day that day! Good times!

Isaac takes on teething...

Isaac finally pushed through two teeth last night on the bottom front...that explains why he woke up a few times. He's a trooper though--not too much fussing...yet!

Ahhhhh

Just chillin' with my peeps--Mommy and Daddy

Story time...

Lauren got to visit last Friday night and enjoyed reading several books to Isaac, her cousin. He sure enjoyed listening! He was so interested.

Isaac's first birthday party...

Isaac went to his friend Molly's 1st Birthday party! He sure enjoyed his balloon! Except he kept asking us "Hey, how come Molly gets her own cake, and I don't get ANY?!"

Our little "Martha"...

"Washington" that is...this is Daddy's idea of being funny at diaper changing time! If you ask me, it's pretty funny...silly Daddy!

It's cereal time...

After 2 1/2 weeks of eating cereal at bed time, Isaac has finally started to enjoy eating it. He no longer screams and fusses for his bottle. Yay!

Isaac visits Grandma and Grandpa for Memorial Day 2009.

Lynne comes to visit!

Isaac with my friend Lynne...soon Lynne will be headed to Illinois to live to become a Children's Minister at a new church there. We sure will miss her!

Peek-a-boo!

Isaac loves his new activity center/walker! He likes to look at himself in the little mirror.

Cheese!

He just has the best smile that will melt your heart!

Going on a walk...

Isaac's first walk in the Snugli! He really enjoyed being able to look around!

Axe 'em Jacks!!

Aunt Shelley and Uncle Richard got him this new SFA hat--a little big now but just wait!

Isaac got a new pair of shoes

Isaac got a new outfit from Mrs. Kim and a new pair of shoes from Target! He looked so cute at church in his plaid outfit and turtle shoes!! : )

Bumbo!

We got a bumbo for Isaac off of Craig's List! Our first purchase of many purchases I'm sure. He doesn't quite look happy here, but he likes it! One of his favorite things to do is to sit up and look around at everything and everyone around him.

Listen closely...Isaac wasn't quite in the mood to smile for us. ; )
Sorry it's sideways--it took too long to upload so I'm not going to fix it. : ) Enjoy! I've got some funny guys!
