Family time!

Hanging at Aunt Stacey and Uncle Stephen's house!

Isaac with his cousin Lauren...she read books to him, talked about the animals, played music, and just loved on him. It made my heart smile.

Isaac gets mail...

Isaac got a card from Aunt Shelley that he loved! She sent him some stickers inside, and we sat down and made a picture with them. He LOVED that as well. It is now proudly posted on our refrigerator.

What a ham!

Oh the many smiles of Isaac. Along with those smiles has come great mischief!

On the beaches of Eleuthera

Beautiful pictures from the beach

Isaac's first airplane and beach adventures

Isaac got to hang out with Micah-his mom and dad are missionaries from our church in Eleuthera. He had so much fun with Micah!

This past summer in June/July 2010, our family had the incredible opportunity to go on a mission trip in Eleuthera, Bahamas. It was Isaac's first time on an airplane. He LOVED it! He liked looking out the window.

I love this picture. Ryan took it of one of my favorite Willow Tree figurines of "Mom and Son". Notice in the background is the picture of Isaac and I when he was 2 weeks old. Love it!

Isaac starts walking

Isaac started walking around 14 months old. He began by first standing alone. Then he went to walking behind toys with wheels, and, within a matter of about a month, he was beginning to take steps all on his own. He was very proud of himself! He enjoyed his new freedom. Now we can't get him to slow down! : )

Some of our favorites

Isaac is around a year here. The pictures outside-Isaac was 13 months old. He is so funny.

Isaac turns 1!

Mammie and Randy hosted Isaac's first birthday party. It was so much fun!

Isaac's friends at the party include: Molly, Saffren, Anders, Hopee, Kate, Caroline, and family members. He had a blast!

Christmas '09

Christmas morning--Isaac enjoyed opening his firetruck! He also got a football and some other fun things. Sweet little boy!

Isaac helps put up the Christmas lights on the tree. He had a lot of fun!

Isaac is growing and developing so well! He is now almost a year old.

9 1/2 months!

Isaac is 9 1/2 months old! In the past month, he has learned to:
  • crawl without just plain "army crawling"
  • clap his hands
  • eat some simple table foods
  • graduate to 3rd stage baby food
  • sleep for longer at night (goes to bed around 6:30 or 7 and wakes up at 6am)
  • stand for longer periods of time with assistance
  • play for longer periods of time
  • turn pages of board books
  • enjoy a soccer game
  • enjoy a football game
  • pull himself up on his knees on the side of his crib
  • sleep with his little frog in his crib and sometimes use it as a pillow
We're so proud of God's little blessing on our lives! What a special and sweet little boy!

Halloween!

Here's our little monkey! This was Isaac's Halloween costume. We made it to see Ryan's Grandparents and parents. Isaac had fun for the first 3 minutes that his costume was on...then he decided he didn't like it too much.

More SFA Homecoming Weekend

SFA Homecoming Weekend

Here we are at the SFA Homecoming Parade. Isaac didn't get scared at all of loud floats, marching bands, and firetrucks. He really enjoyed watching it all and taking it all in. In case you didn't know, SFA's mascot is the lumberjacks...we are "giving the axe". On the right, Isaac watches the parade intently with Granny.

Isaac explores his surroundings...

Isaac was so interested in the clothes basket that we decided to let him sit in it. He thought it was funny even though it doesn't look like it in THIS picture. Ha!

Give 'em the axe!

Isaac and Daddy sport their SFA hats! Cutie number 1 and Cutie number 2!

Little Man

Look how cute Isaac looks with Daddy! His hair is all combed and he has his little button-up shirt on--headed to church!

Isaac loves his Granny and Pawpaw! In these pictures he is 8 months old. We were at Aunt Stacey's house for Aunt Shelley's 40th Birthday Party. Fun times!

Daddy and Isaac - he LOVES his Daddy! Such a happy little guy...we are so blessed.
Isaac got to stay with Ms. Barbara (Nana) a few weeks back. He loved it and so did she! He especially loves all of Nana's grandchildren! They're all girls!

Isaac is 8 months old! He is really enjoying trying to stand! He can't pull himself up yet, but he is still practicing.

Witty

As I read other blogs, I realize how "unwitty" I am! Does wittiness come in time as I blog more and more? Isaac sure is funny...maybe it will come in time as I get more practice.

Isaac starts daycare...

So last week on Monday (the 17th), Isaac started at his new daycare, the Child Development Center. I have to admit, I'm sad, but I know that it will be great for Isaac's development to be with other children his age on a daily basis. His new teachers are Ms. Gina, Ms. Dinora, and Ms. Jamie. Pictures will soon come!

two new teeth!

Today Isaac cut his top two teeth! He's been a bit fussy today and chewing on things a bit more than usual. Then as Ryan is giving Isaac a bath, he notices that there are two brand new teeth. Yay for Isaac! What a big boy! Solid food--here we come!

sucker!

So Isaac was in the bathtub tonight and was bending way over to reach his little boat toy in the water and discovered that he could reach his toes. He grabs hold, pulls his toes up out of the water, and begins to suck away! MMM! What was so funny was that they had water on them so when he sucked them it made a big slurp noise! Leave it to Isaac! : )

first word...seriously!

Yesterday while at Aunt Stacey's house, Isaac said his first word!! Aunt Shelley had Isaac's little rattle phone and she was talking in it looking at him and playing with him. Ryan was headed to Stacey's house, and so Shelley says into the phone, "Isaac, Hi Daddy?" He looks up at her and says, "Dada!" Then he proceeds to babble--"Dadadada!" Again, Shelley says, "Where's Daddy?" Isaac starts kicking his feet and getting excited and says, "Dada!" So, it's official--Isaac's first word clearly is 'Dada'. I knew it! I knew it would be Dada and not Mama. It's okay. He LOVES his Daddy! : )

tower of babble

Yesterday Isaac started really beginning to string syllables together to begin babbling. His babbles consist of "yea, yea, yea" and "deah, deah, deah". It's so cute! He actually goes up and down in his voice like he's trying so hard to talk to us! He looks so intent too when he's doing it. What a cutie!

rubber duckie...you're the one!

This is so funny! Isaac laughed so much at his duck...
